Beware of this hotel, test the water as soon as you arrive in your room.Dolphin Mall isn't the biggest shopping mall in the Miami area but it is the most popular with over 240 retail outlets, eight name-brand discounters as anchors and plenty of convenient parking. I stayed in Courtyard South Beach last year with no issues. The staff who checked me out didn't even ask me how was my stay or did I try to get a shower this morning. I wasn't offered a free cup of coffee, a cookie, a free bagel, or something off the bill. I spoke to a manager who said the person who would normally repair this problem was not at the hotel and there was nothing he could do. I was exhausted, wrapped in a towel, had unpacked part of my luggage for what I would need and I told the clerk, I am exhausted and just too tired to repack, redress and move. I called the desk again and was told I could move to another room. I called down to the desk, and spoke with a hotel staff member who said let the water run for 5 minutes, it will heat up. Undressed and headed to the shower to discover there was NO HOT WATER. Once I arrived back in the hotel room, I was exhausted and decided to take a shower and go to bed. Came back dropped off the things and headed across the parking lot to the Dolphin Mall for one other item and dinner. After checking in, I dropped my luggage in the room and headed out in a Lyft to pick up a few things I forgot. I arrived at the hotel earlier than the check-in time and was allowed to check in. Most of the hotels near the Port of Miami were sold out and traffic was terrible. There was a Music Festival in Miami so I didn't get the South Beach Courtyard Marriott that I desired. I booked this hotel for an overnight stay before a Cruise.
